The IOST Foundation has “completed an integration” with Eastern European rewards/donation platform Boomstarter, according to a note from the company.
The goal is for the two entities to make $IOST a global fundraising currency to support entrepreneurs and builders in an international expansion plan spanning Southeast Asia, India, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Latin America.
Boomstarter, while relatively small, claims a user base of around 800,000 individuals. The platform does not appear to offer securities nor token offerings.
IOST is a public blockchain network that is reportedly backed by 250+ investors including Sequoia Capital, Huobi Capital, and Node Capital.
In this partnership, Boomstarter will provide cryptocurrency channels for international backers to support offerings by accepting $IOST. Currently, Boomstarter accepts payment in $BTC, $ETH and $IOST.
Boomstarter will also join the IOST ecosystem as a Partner Node.
