Slice Labs, an “on-demand Insurtech, has partnered with Duuo, another on-demand insurance brand to provide” Event and Rent-My-Stuff insurance offerings.”
Duuo is part of the Co-operators Group Limited, a Canadian co-operative with more than $41.7 billion in assets under administration.
Duuo is using the “Slice Insurance Cloud Services (ICS) platform” to provide the new insurance vertical.
Robin Shufelt, MD of Duuo, said that Slice enables her company to “reimagine Canadian insurance by meeting the emerging expectations of consumers and businesses for flexible, affordable insurance solutions.”

Since launching Duuo, the Co-operators Group says it has been regularly approached by P2P platforms eager to provide on-demand products to increase the security and credibility of insurance offerings. With Slice, Duuo can provide products that “fill the gaps of legacy insurance models positioning partners for more sustainable growth.”
