Reg CF issuers LiquidPiston has raised $1.07 million in only 9 hours and 22 minutes from 1,963 investors. Currently, $1.07 million is the max amount allowed under the Reg CF securities exemption.
LiquidPiston’s offering is hosted on StartEngine. The round was completely subscribed last week on January 3rd setting a new platform record for the fastest Reg CF offering to fully fund ever on StartEngine.
LiquidPiston sold equity in the company at a pre-money valuation of $51.6 million. Investors could participate at a minimum investment of $255.50. Shares were priced at $36.50 each.
According to a comment on the offering page, LiquidPiston was “blown away” by the response.
LiquidPiston has redesigned the internal combustion engine with that claims to be 10 times smaller than a comparable diesel engine as well as 30% more efficient.
LiquidPiston seeks to disrupt the $400 billion internal combustion engine market. But the company also wants to target the emerging electric vehicle industry by reducing the heavy (and expensive) batteries with a hybrid approach.
