WiseAlpha, a marketplace for corporate bonds, is reporting Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certification for its Bond Academy.
In December, WiseAlpha announced the Bond Academy – an entity that will be directed by independent expert instructor, George Flynn from Europeanhighyield.online.
WiseAlpha is regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and seeks to “democratize” access to the corporate bond market. Individual investors may access “fractional” bonds and other products via the bond marketplace. Sophisticated investors may access bonds in well-known names such as Netflix, LendInvest and Heathrow Airport, alongside lesser-known firms. Yields on these investments reflect intrinsic risk.
WiseAlpha said it is now “educating the masses about the corporate bond market” with the launch of the Bond Academy which is available on online – free of any fees.
The course is said to offer three separate units to match the user’s knowledge.
Unit one, teaches what are bonds and how they differ from equities. Unit two, explains the different types of bonds and how do they come to the market. And unit three covers how investors assess the quality of a company and its commercial viability and what industry dynamics should be considered.
WiseAlpha’s CPD accredited Bond Academy is said to be the first of its kind to offer corporate bond investors the opportunity to gain CPD hours.
Tim Ganie, Director of Sales & Distribution at WiseAlpha commented on the certification:
“Continuing Professional Development, CPD, is hugely important in today’s fast-changing financial landscape, whether you are a finance professional or beginning your journey into the world of finance. We have created our CPD accredited online bond academy, in collaboration with independent experts. The course has already been taken by financial advisers who want to further their knowledge of this asset class. Bonds are fast becoming a core part of an investor’s portfolio and WiseAlpha is a leader in this asset class.”
