U.S. healthcare fintech SmartHealth PayCard announced on Tuesday it is waiving its first year annual fee for new card applicants for the next three months in order to support Americans during the coronavirus crisis.
SmartHealth PayCard reported that existing cardholders and new members are now able to participate in the card’s prescription program as well as other benefits such as up to $5,000 in accident medical expense benefits and $5,000 accidental death. While sharing more details about the card, SmartHealth PayCard’s Co-Founder, Jeff Blankinship, stated:
“The SmartHealth PayCard is a financial cure for healthcare. In times of crisis and everyday, our card helps Americans focus on health, not on how to pay for it. And healthcare providers get paid immediately for their exceptional care.”
SmartHealth PayCard then added that in the coming months it will introduce new features to expand its role as a “financial cure” for healthcare.
