Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) was hacked today and the perps used prominent accounts to pilfer crypto, according to multiple reports.
Apple, Uber, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Joe Biden, Warren Buffet, and yes, even Kanye West more were said to be targets of the scam.
The Tweets were quickly scrubbed but not before reports filtered in that some people fell for the trap.

Twitter was quickly aware of the incident but as of this writing little additional information was available.

Twitter scams and spoofs have long been leveraged in the crypto space but this is the first time many high profile Twitter accounts were simultanously hijacked to perpetuate a Bitcoin scam. Additional reports claimed high profile crypto firms like Binance and Gemini and others were are target of the criminal act.
Shares in Twitter fell in after-hours trading. As of this writing, Twitter was down over 3%.
