Overfunding: UK Proptech BlockDox’s Seedrs Campaign Quickly Surpasses £125,000 Funding Target

BlockDox, a UK-based proptech, has quickly raised its initial £125,000 funding target through its Seedrs campaign. The funding round, which recently made its debut on the equity crowdfunding platform, has already attracted nearly 50 Seedrs investors so far.

Founded in 2015, BlockDox describes itself as a data science focussed proptech company solving complex problems using Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things (AIoT).

“Our patented technology leverages AIoT to make spaces responsive to how they are used now and in future helping customers to exceed their sustainability goals, reduce operational wastage and improve space utilisation. The result is a competitive edge.”

BlockDox is purchased on a B2B Software as a Service subscription model, including an upfront mobilization fee and an annually recurring data license fee with a minimum term.

“We are positioned in one of the most valuable layers in the asset management ecosystem: the analytics and insights layer. We are hardware agnostic and interoperable. We aggregate and interpret data from various sources, using data driven intelligence to deliver context and meaning via our dashboard interface and unique data feed.”

Funds from the Seedrs campaign will be used for the growth and development of the BlockDox platform. The company is now offering a 20% discount through the funding round, which is set to close at the end of February.
