Neonomics Partners with Zavann to Simplify Electricity Billing Process by Enabling Open Banking Payments

Zavann, a Sweden-headquartered SaaS firm that’s owned by EG and offers data-driven offerings for electricity suppliers across the country, has teamed up with Neonomics, an Open Banking platform for improving the way in which clients receive and settle their electricity bills.

As noted by its management:

“Neonomics bridges the gap between compliance and innovation, growing a large API network of banks and third-party providers across Europe. Our single API connection point enables you to build PSD2 and open banking-enabled propositions, from payment initiation to bank account aggregation and data access.”

Zavann has reportedly integrated Neonomics’ pure unified PSD2 payments API in order to introduce integrated Open Banking payments which will allow clients to better manage their electricity bills in one secure place.

After receiving an invoice, clients get notified via SMS with a link, where they are able to settle the invoice in a secure manner without having to access to their banking app.

Claes Nilsson, the Director of Sales and Marketing at Zavann, stated:

“We chose Neonomics because their pure unified PSD2 payments API provided the most secure and stable means of enabling account to account payments after reviewing multiple other providers in the market. With Neonomics we are enhancing the service we offer our customers, the energy suppliers and sub-suppliers, while also providing a much better user experience for our customers’ customers, enabling savings for everyone on every payment.”

Zavann’s SaaS platform, Gasell, has been created to serve as a secure ecosystem for energy suppliers to effectively manage user data.

Christoffer Andvig, CEO at Neonomics, remarked:

“Zavann is focused on improving the way in which consumers interact with energy suppliers, where there is a clear demand for more seamless and cost-efficient payments. By tapping the power of Neonomics open banking platform, we are enabling Gasell to become a much more versatile offering creating a win-win for both parties.”

Recently introduced in Sweden, Zavann is focused on further expanding its partnership and client engagements. It’s now getting ready to introduce its service to the Norwegian market.
