Blockchain security solution provider CertiK has been chosen by Kava Labs to offer improved security for the Kava Ecosystem.
As part of the partnership, CertiK will be getting a portion of the $185M Kava Ignition Fund in order to carry out regular security assessments of the Kava Platform and offer key insights into “the security and risk of projects on the ecosystem via their Security Leaderboard.”
Established in 2018 by professors of Yale University and Columbia University, CertiK is a pioneer in blockchain security, “utilizing best-in-class AI technology to secure and monitor blockchain protocols and smart contracts.”
CertiK’s goal is to “secure the cyber world.” Beginning with blockchain, CertiK applies innovations from academia to enterprise infrastructure, “enabling mission-critical applications to be built with security and correctness.”
To date, CertiK has collectively worked with more than 1300 enterprise customers to help “secure over $90 billion worth of digital assets.”
What To Expect
As part of Kava Labs’ dedication to user safety, CertiK will “receive Kava Ignition funding to bring an additional layer of risk mitigation and user protections to the Kava Ecosystem.” This will involve “a combination of continuous risk assessment for ecosystem projects and regular code audits for the Kava Platform,” the announcement noted.

CertiK will also be offering five Kava Ecosystem projects “with integrations of their real-time threat monitoring service, Skynet.” This will be used to offer risk insights to developers and “up-to-the-minute security scores that will be shared with users on the Security Leaderboard.”
