UK based Digital Bank Revolut Acquires Nobly ePOS Business to Expand Operations into Hospitality Sector

Revolut has announced the acquisition of “highly rated” ePOS software provider Nobly POS in order to expand its product offering to serve the restaurant and hospitality sectors.

Established in 2013, Nobly has created an extensive ePOS system for the restaurant and hospitality industry enabling hospitality businesses to “manage their operations with its back-office app, order and inventory management systems, kitchen displays, loyalty, and online ordering (click & collect) app.”

The announcement from Revolut also mentioned that Nobly currently serves merchants across the United Kingdom, Australia, and the US.

Nobly’s product is being integrated with Revolut’s payment hardware and Revolut’s online and offline payment processing capabilities so that Revolut will “offer a fully integrated solution to empower merchants to manage their businesses and accept payments easily,” the announcement explained.

As noted in a release, this acquisition will enable Revolut Business hospitality customers to “open a digital account, use FX, issue cards and seamlessly manage and sell their products and accept payments online and offline from the single Revolut Business environment saving time and reducing direct costs for its customers.”

In the future, Revolut plans to introduce its fully integrated solution across its international footprint and “expand its product capabilities to serve its wider retail customers.”

Nik Storonsky, CEO of Revolut stated:

“The Nobly team has built a great product and expertise which will further advance our mission to offer a one stop shop solution to enable merchants of every kind to manage their finances and run their businesses from a single platform.”

Nik added:

“Nobly’s ePOS product will enhance our existing Revolut Business offering to make life easy for hospitality businesses. We look forward to working with the team to build more features to support our strong growth.”

George Urdea, Co-founder and CEO at Nobly POS, remarked:

“We built Nobly to enable small business owners and their teams to better serve their customers. Joining Revolut opens the exciting possibility to take the merchant-consumer experience to the next level, by bridging the rich point of sale data with Revolut’s financial super app.”

As covered, Revolut is building what it claims to be the first global financial Super App to help consumers get more from their money. In 2015, Revolut launched in the United Kingdom, offering money transfer and exchange. Currently, over 16 million customers across the globe are using  dozens of Revolut’s products to make over 150 million transactions per month.

Across the firm’s personal and business accounts, they help customers enhance their financial health, “give them more control and connect people seamlessly across the world.”
