SeedInvest has organized a Community Pitch Competition to take place next week on June 1st. The first event of its kind, early stage ventures will compete for $40,000 in funding as well as other rewards. The registration is open to any investors and the presentation will include 6 entrepreneurs as finalists that were culled from a group of 107 applicants.
The list of early-stage ventures vying for the money are as follows:
- Hans Schrei, Founder of e-commerce fresh kitchen-baked cookies, Wunderkeks
- Darian Hall, Co-founder of inclusive digital and onsite wellness company, HealHaus
- Susan Dwyer, Founder and CEO of leading career destination for women, Rise Up
- Oscar Pedroso, Founder and CEO of engineering and programming learning subscription kit for kids, Thimble
- Lina Borgo, Co-founder of menopause health testing, treatment, and educational website, Mina Health
- Claire Sulmers, Founder and CEO of the web’s number one destination for multicultural fashion, Fashion Bomb Daily
First place takes home $25,000 in money, Second receives $10,000, and third $5000. These are all equity-free cash prizes.
Judges include:
- Ryan Feit – co-founder and CEO of SeedInvest
- Sherice Torres – CMO of Circle (SeedInvest’s parent company)
- Baron Davis – founder of Baron Davis Enterprises
- Jesse Draper – founding partner of Halogen Ventures
- Tash Youngblood Brown – Managing Director at EY
The event will take place live from 4 PM to 530PM on June 1st.
