Crowdcube: Fintech was the Most Popular Category in May

Crowdcube, one of the largest investment crowdfunding platforms in Europe, has shared some insight into May’s platform performance.

In a Tweet, Crowdcube reported that 27,265 investors committed over £28 million during the month. Moneybox topped the list of investments garnering 15,461 investors contributing almost £6.4 million.

Of note, is that Fintech, long a popular category for crowdfunding platforms, received the most funding during the month as 17,111 investors provided over £10 million in funding.

Moneybox noted that its securities offering is now the most popular offering on Crowdcube so far in 2022.

Crowdcube is in the process of revving up its operations in Europe under the new pan-European crowdfunding rules. It is the first platform to receive regulatory approval under ECSPR having gained a license in Spain. As SeedInvest in the US has invested in the platform and SeedInvest CEO and co-founder Ryan Feit has joined the board of Crowdcube you can anticipate more transatlantic securities offerings as well.
