Avelacom, the low latency connectivity, IT infrastructure and data solutions provider for financial markets, recently announced new optimized routes on its network to Istanbul (Bursa Istanbul), Riyadh (Saudi Stock Exchange, Tadawul) and Tel Aviv (Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, TASE).
These routes should help with encouraging international traders to accelerate their presence in the area for continuous hedging and repositioning.
The new connectivity portfolio includes three main routes:
- London <> Riyadh with less than 80ms*, round-trip delay,
- New York <> Tel Aviv with less than 117ms*, round-trip delay,
- Frankfurt <> Istanbul with less than 32ms*, round-trip delay.
Commodities and energy asset classes have been solid performers throughout this year and financial services companies are seeking opportunities and new markets in which to trade these assets.
Until now, small markets in the area were not adequately covered by third-party vendors that brought low latency solutions and tools to such markets.
By optimizing latency across the region, Avelacom should take advantage of the first-mover advantage in onboarding financial services companies that run algorithmic trading and need ready-to-go low latency network infrastructure and managed services.
Aleksey Larichev, CEO of Avelacom remarked:
“As a connectivity provider for the financial services industry we need to identify new trends quickly. This allows us to connect to growing trading venues using our built-and-ready low latency infrastructure and established partnerships. This is how we see our leadership role: bringing the lowest latencies and network performance benchmarks to new markets.”
As noted by its management, Avelacom’s low latency connectivity, IT infrastructure and data solutions “improve market making, arbitrage and liquidity aggregation strategies, all of which are highly sensitive to latency.”
It provides “access to 80+ liquidity centers offering best-in-market latencies and 99.9% uptime. Covering a wide variety of exchanges including equity, FX, commodity, crypto and derivatives, Avelacom’s solutions are asset neutral.”
The company is “particularly well known for offering the lowest latencies to/from APAC, LATAM, the Middle East, South Africa and eastern Europe.” The company’s strength “comes from its own global network based on both fiber and wireless technologies.”
