StartEngine, one of the largest investment crowdfunding platforms in the US, says it had its largest week ever for raising money on its platform.
According to an email, StartEngine raised $10.6 million topping its previous high water mark by $600,000. The previous high took place in April.
StartEngine attributes the activity to its own self-crowdfunding round as it hopes to raise up to $46 million with the proceeds to the company totaling $36.7 million with the balance going towards fees and certain selling shareholders. The securities offer currently stands at around $6.9 million. StartEngine also helped Boxabl raise a good amount of money with the issuer closing the round last Friday.
StartEngine helps firms raise funding under Reg A+ and Reg CF – but has also leveraged Reg D in the past. StartEngine focuses on early-stage ventures but has expanded into collectibles including art, wine, and more. StartEngine recently announced a partnership with Indiegogo, a rewards or pre-commerce provider to be a preferred path to help companies raise funding via a securities offering.
