CEPRES, which claims to be the leader in private market data and investment technology, announced new solutions to better handle today’s challenges in private market fundraising for both limited partners (LPs) and general partners (GPs).
CEPRES Fund Screener, part of the CEPRES Due Diligence suite, has reportedly been expanded significantly “to enable collaboration between LPs and GPs and provide benchmarks to over 11,000 institutional-grade illiquid funds invested in 108,000 PE-backed portfolio companies.”
The upgrades “include enhanced track record analytics; sharing of funds, deals, time series and portfolio company data; benchmarking; and the ability to communicate and request investment data from more than 2,000 GPs via CEPRES’s confidential data network — fundamentally improving user experience and track record analysis impact.”
Chris Godfrey, CEPRES President, said:
“Amidst global economic uncertainty, choosing the right illiquid funds can feel increasingly risky. LPs and GPs struggle to find common ground, often because of a misunderstanding of investment goals and theses. This leaves many LPs staying out of the market or re-upping with the same managers and missing opportunities, which undermines their portfolio targets.”
Chris added:
“CEPRES Fund Screener provides effective pipeline management and fast and effective analysis and benchmarking of GP track records. We are already helping many liability-driven investors, including pensions, insurers and endowments, as well as family offices and fund of funds where they have beneficiaries and clients they need to generate alpha for. CEPRES Fund Screener helps investors de-risk their underwriting decisions, and the upgrades we have made to the solution since launching in early 2022 create a seamless user experience that supports our clients’ investment goals.”
CEPRES Fund Screener “empowers LPs with powerful analysis capabilities on GPs’ track records within a secure, easy-to-use platform.”
The product enables investors “to track and manage their fund investment pipeline and all the relevant information and GP contacts for their forward calendar.”
They can then drill into the GPs’ track records via “a secure data network with all the key analytics required by their investment committees.”
Users can also “look through fund metrics using deal-level sensitivity analysis to see how different variables impacted the GP’s track record.”
CEPRES Fund Screener is part of the CEPRES ecosystem, which “offers solutions throughout the private market investment lifecycle, including proprietary GP look-through data, due diligence, portfolio monitoring, portfolio forecasting, and fund and deal benchmarking.”
With CEPRES, investors “unlock better investment outcomes through unmatched data granularity and governance combined with insightful analytics.”
As noted in the update, CEPRES is the first platform “built for the age of digital transformation in private markets.”
Their investment data platform “provides real-time and predictive analytics to unlock better investment outcomes and drive better faster decisions.”
CEPRES clients “leverage proprietary deal data and complete cash flows from the largest private market ecosystem, containing $40.T in assets, 108K PE-backed companies, 11,000 funds, and 4,000 GPs and LPs.”
