Minima, a new blockchain platform, announced a unique collaboration with WeTransfer, the world’s “most trusted” platform for sharing digital content.
Together, the two companies are “deploying non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Minima network to empower creators all over the world with Digital Rights Management for their intellectual property.”
Users will have the ability “to generate NFTs directly from their phones or any other device, giving them complete control over how and with whom they share their digital assets and efficiently collect revenue.”
This will be made possible by Minima’s globally distributed communications network, “which is set to go live in March in 180 countries.”
Minima’s blockchain technology will “play a crucial role in shaping the future of Web3 development, with data privacy and self-sovereignty at its core.”
This partnership exemplifies “the shared vision of both companies to seamlessly connect people and facilitate innovation and creativity without sacrificing privacy.”
Damian Bradfield, Chief Creative Officer at WeTransfer, stated:
“WeTransfer is thrilled to work with Minima, whose vision is aligned strongly with ours to seamlessly connect people and facilitate innovation and creativity without sacrificing privacy.”
Minima’s secure peer-to-peer network “enables the transfer of value from person to person without third-party intermediaries.” This empowers users “to create revenue directly from their own digital assets, and continue to receive revenue for the lifetime of its use.”
Hugo Feiler, CEO of Minima, said:
“We as a partnership look forward to supporting the development and acceleration of creativity in the digital age where individuals retain ownership and control of their work. This partnership will explore the practical use of NFT technology, something which interests not only the crypto industry, but will be a test case to demonstrate the potential of wider adoption of this innovative digital tool.”
As noted in the update, Minima has “created a next generation blockchain platform which is a completely decentralized mobile-first protocol for blockchain transactions.”
Its blockchain protocol “allows every user to run a full constructing and validating node.”
By creating a network that is “owned, run, and secured by its users, the platform that allows users to be completely autonomous, while still ensuring that they remain fully accountable.”
Minima is partnering “with international companies to develop solutions for digital identity management, tokenization, messaging and payments in the automotive, media and IoT industries.”
Founded in 2009 as the simplest way to send big files around the world, WeTransfer has since grown “into an ecosystem of creative productivity tools.”
The company’s suite of tools is “specifically designed for creative professionals, enabling collaboration, co-creation and client management across their workflow process.”
WeTransfer believes creativity is “the driving force behind humankind, and the company takes pride in supporting the global community of creatives who rely on its tools every single day.”
