Darren Westlake, co-founder and former CEO of Crowdcube, has joined the board of directors of Crowdfunder, a UK-based rewards platform.
According to multiple reports, Westlake will become the “interim chairperson” to help direct the strategy of the platform.
Westlake exited Crowdcube earlier this year, passing the leadership of the online capital formation provider to two co-CEOs. Westlake, a trailblazer in the securities crowdfunding world, was Crowdcube’s CEO for around 13 years, launching operations just as it was being legalized.
According to BusinessLive:
“Mr Westlake will report to the Crowdfunder board for a period of at least six months and will help the Crowdfunder leadership team to appoint a long term chair, manage and refresh the board, contribute to company strategy and help Crowdfunder’s chief executive, Rob Love, lead the team in its ambition to “further disrupt” the global fundraising market.”
Crowdfunder previously utilized Crowdcube to raise growth capital to fund the business.
