One of the largest securities crowdfunding platforms in the US continues to move the ball down the field in a self-crowdfunding round. It was reported in May that StartEngine had raised $14 million. Today that amount is well over $16 million.
Almost 9000 investors have backed this most recent Reg A+ securities offering which values StartEngine at $1.32 billion.
StartEngine posts on its home page that the total raised on the platform now stands at over $700 million – $1.1 billion when you count the acquisition of SeedInvest. StartEngine itself boasts more than 37000 in its private security. In total, StartEngine has raised $71 million to fund its operations.
StartEngine recently announced it had fired up its Secondary Marketplace, an alternative trading system (ATS) that wants to enable trading in private securities issued on other securities crowdfunding platforms as well as its own.
In Q4, StartEngine compares itself to both Wefunder and Republic reporting that its platform has topped funding via Reg A+ and Reg CF when it comes to money raised.
