France’s Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) Issues Warning Against Firms Offering Atypical Investments Without Authorization

The AMF is warning the public against several companies “proposing atypical investments without being authorized to do so.”

France‘s Autorité des Marchés Financiers explains that it regularly “updates its black lists of new websites and entities proposing atypical investments to investors in France without being authorized to do so.”

Here is the list of the new websites recently identified in the atypical investments category:

  • ewgholding.com/fr
  • investir-dans-l-or.site.sitekick.ai
  • mevent-bottom416.com
  • truffis.com

Any offer to invest in miscellaneous assets “must be registered with the AMF to be marketed.”

The white list of offers “recorded in miscellaneous assets is available on the AMF website.”

Since January 1, 2023, the AMF has “added 5 websites to its list of unauthorized entities proposing atypical investments.” In 2022, it reportedly “added 20 websites to this list, of which 12 in the ‘wine’ category.”

The list of all sites not authorized to offer investments in various goods is “available on the AMF website.”

AMF pointed out that this list is “updated regularly but does not claim to be exhaustive, as new unauthorized actors appear regularly.”

In addition, the registration decisions “issued by the AMF can be consulted on the AMF website.”

If the player who solicits you is not on this list, they strongly “advise you not to respond to their solicitations.”

As noted in another update, the AMF and the ACPR warn the public “against the activities of several entities offering in France investments in Forex and in crypto-assets derivatives without being authorized to do so.”

With the objective of protecting investors, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) and the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR) regularly “update their black lists of websites identified as offering investments in the unregulated foreign exchange (Forex) market and in derivative products whose underlying assets include crypto-assets, without being authorized to do so.”
