Invesdor, a securities crowdfunding platform approved to operate across the European Union, is touting a recent successful funding round that was listed on Oneplanetcrowd but saw solid participation across Invesdor’s home base. Oneplanetcrowd, an impact funding platform that focuses on green securities offerings, was acquired by Invesdor in late 2022. Invesdor offers both equity and debt offerings for smaller firms.
Invesdor says that a funding round for the Oude Maas wind farm project has “proven to be a success story for the crowdfunding specialist.”
Invesdor reports that the Dutch wind farm generated almost half of its €1.8 million debt offering from DACH investors (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) with the other half coming from the Netherlands.
Invesdor CEO Christopher Grätz commented on the offering:
“On the one hand, we offer European investors the opportunity to invest across borders with the help of our ECSP license, and on the other hand, thanks to our recent merger, we give them the opportunity to do so Oneplanetcrowd return opportunities in the area of sustainable energy projects. In the case of Oude Maas, both come together – German investors benefit from the ideal conditions for wind power in the Netherlands.”
The security issued for Oude Maas was for a bond with a term of 7.17 years and an interest rate of 5.0%.
Grätz said the local production of green electricity for a Dutch community that wants to become independent of fossil fuels is the path that crowdfunding should take.
“The average investment at Oude Maas is quite high at a good EUR 6,300 – even though the minimum investment amount was only EUR 250. This high level of commitment illustrates the high level of conviction that investors have in the project in particular, but also in the topic of renewable energies in general,” added Grätz.
Invesdor said they will soon list another project in the same region for a company called Land Life which is dedicated to the reforestation of two billion hectares of degraded land worldwide.
