UK Fintech Dojo Expands Into Ireland

Dojo has received approval to operate with an e-money license (EMI) from the Central Bank of Ireland, according to a statement issued by the company.

Dojo offers a multi-cloud-native payments platforms to provide in-person and digital payments solutions alongside features like revenue-based funding and booking management software. The company claims to be one of the UK’s largest Fintechs.

By setting up shop in Ireland, Dojo is poised to expand across the EU.

In the UK market, Dojo reports that it has experienced significant growth in its customer base and reported revenues of €278 million in the fiscal year ending 31 March 2023, representing 48% year-on-year growth versus €188 million in 2022. Currently, in the UK, Dojo claims over 150,000 businesses being served.

In 2022, Dojo reports having processed over 1.6 billion transactions in the UK, representing over €38 billion in card volume.
