Thistle Initiatives Teams Up with ClearBank, the Enabler of Real-Time Clearing and Embedded Banking Services

Thistle Initiatives, part of the Thistle Group is pleased to announce its partnership agreement with ClearBank, the enabler of real-time clearing and embedded banking for financial institutions, “as its first trusted client compliance partner. ”

As ClearBank’s partner, Thistle Initiatives provides support “on matters including, but not restricted to, FCA applications, compliance support, regulatory due diligence, and financial crime prevention.”

Additionally, Thistle Initiatives has been “chosen by ClearBank as an approved AML compliance auditor to its clients, recognizing Thistle as a leader in the financial services industry, for its commitment to excellence and accuracy in AML compliance.”

As covered last month, Shonaid Jemmett-Page reportedly takes the place of David Gagie as Chair of UK Board of Directors ClearBank, the enabler of real-time clearing and embedded banking for financial institutions.

The Fintech company confirmed in a blog post that “subject to regulatory approval, it has appointed Shonaid Jemmett-Page as Chair of the UK Board, following the departure of David Gagie.”

David has been Chair of the UK Board “since 2018 and has been instrumental in the growth of the organisation to date, with his experience being pivotal in leading the Board.”

Shonaid has been “a part of ClearBank’s UK Board as senior independent director since its early establishment in 2017.”

She is an experienced director “with extensive business leadership experience in the financial services, sustainability and digital sectors.”
