Digital Bank bunq Claims to be First AI Powered Bank in Europe

Amsterdam-based digital bank bunq has claimed the title as the first “AI powered bank in Europe.”

bunq says it is the second-largest digital bank in Europe. Today, the Fintech announced “Finn” a new GenAI platform that is available to all its customers. The AI powered service is said to help users to manage finances.

“Years of AI innovation, coupled with laser focus on our users, allowed us to completely transform banking as you know it. Seeing Generative AI make life so much easier for our users is incredibly exciting.”

Finn is described as similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT, the widely popular AI service that brought artificial intelligence to the forefront of the masses.

At the same time, bunq reported that it now has 11 million users across the European Union. Deposits have jumped by 55% since July and now stand at €7 billion.

bunq is licensed in the Netherlands and operates across the EU.
