Estateguru Reports €10.1M in Loan Repayments in December with Additional €0.4M From Recovered Loans

Estateguru is reporting that it saw €10.1M in loan repayments in December, with an additional €0.4M from recovered loans.

As noted in a blog post by Etstateguru, total returns “amounted to €1.1M, with an average return rate of 9.5%.”

Estateguru further noted that they have “originated €9.4M worth of loans.”

As stated in the update, during December, investors via Estateguru reportedly “received €0.9M in returns from repaid and recovered loans (including interest, bonuses, penalties and indemnities).”

As noted in a blog post by Estateguru, loan origination numbers “grew compared to November in all of the countries due to increased demand from our core markets.”

In December 2023, Estateguru reveals that it had “originated €9.4M worth of loans, mostly in Estonia and Lithuania.”

Their core markets have mostly “delivered strong results that follow the trend we observed throughout the latter part of 2023 (with the exception of November, which was atypical).”

Both Estonia and Latvia have “originated an additional €0.6m in loans than when compared with the previous month, while Lithuania has originated €0.9m more. Finland has seen a slight decrease in loan origination.”

According to Esateguru, the success in loan origination is “due to the publishing of several large high-quality deals in Estonia and Latvia, as well as the successful closing of more loans (22 in November and 32 in December) in Lithuania.”

As noted by Estateguru’s management, back in 2013 a group of real estate and fintech experts based in Tallinn, Estonia had a bright idea. What if they could “break down the barriers which ensured that investing in secured property loans was a luxury only available to the wealthy and well-connected?”

And what if they could “help entrepreneurs and visionaries in the property development business who struggle with the ‘one-size-fits all’ solutions offered by banks and major financial institutions at the same time? Thus Estateguru was born.”

Today, more than half a decade later, they claim to “have facilitated more than 3100 loans worth in excess of €500 million. Over 100 000 investors, from all walks of life and hailing from 109 countries, have earned average returns of 11.24% by backing property loans in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Spain, Germany, Sweden and Finland with more markets to follow soon.”

Due to the large and diversified investor base, “with millions of EUR available to lend, their borrowers can get the money they need to realize their plans quickly, on their own terms, and investors can access pre-vetted and diversified, cross-border investment opportunities with a low barrier to entry and total transparency.”
