Senator Elizabeth Warren’s Vendetta Against Elon Musk Continues as She Tells SEC Tesla May Have Violated Securities Law

Senator Elizabeth Warren is on the warpath once again, taking aim at one of her favorite targets: Elon Musk.

In a letter addressed to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Senator Warren tells SEC Chairman Gary Gensler that Musk and Tesla’s Board of Directors “may have violated securities law.”

Musk, who once considered himself a Liberal and now considers himself a centrist, has emerged as a favorite target of the extreme left due to his acquisition of Twitter, now X, and his advocacy of free speech – something that did not exist at Twitter prior to Musk’s purchase. Musk has also become a vocal adversary to woke ideology.

Pointing a finger at “new evidence”, Senator Warren states in the letter:

“I am writing to provide additional information related to my July 17, 2023, request for an investigation of Tesla’s Board of Directors (Board) and its Chief Executive Officer, Elon Musk. In that request, I raised concerns about the Board’s failure to address possible misappropriation of Tesla resources and conflicts of interest arising from Mr. Musk’s dual role at Tesla and X— renamed from Twitter. 2 I asked the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to investigate possible violations of U.S. securities laws…”

Warren claims that the Board is not independent looking out for shareholders interests but instead caters to Musk’s demands. The Senator notes that shares in Tesla have performed poorly this year in an attempt to show that she is correct.

Musk responded by stating Senator Karen’s main economic and tax advisor is SBF’s [Sam Bankman-Fried] dad.

While Senator Warren has frequently criticized Musk, who has typically responded with humor, one has to wonder if the Senator is abusing her office in an attempt to destroy a perceived adversary. It is unknown if the SEC will pursue the Senator’s claims, but the Senator and Chairman of the Commission apparently have a close relationship.
