Ethereum Layer 2 Blockchain LightLink Raises $6.2 Million Seed Round

Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain LightLink has closed on a $6.2 million seed round, according to a note from the company.

The funding came from MH Ventures and NxGen as well as several “high-profile individual crypto investors.”

LightLink aims to provide dApps and enterprise users with instant, gasless transactions. The company claims to boost transactions by 400X. The company states that its Enterprise Mode enables businesses to operate gas-free, enabling a secure, user-friendly blockchain network without transaction fees, barriers to entry, or the need for tokens.

LightLink says that it already powers over 25 partnerships, including Animoca Brands, and is being integrated in Translucia, a US$300 million venture by T&B Media Global and MQDC.

LightLink shares that it has achieved 115,000 daily transactions and a total of 18.5 million transactions on Mainnet, stating it is continuing to grow at a rapid pace.

Roy Hui, co-founder and CEO of LightLink, says their mission is to make blockchain practical.

“The investment will help us continue to build a Web3 ecosystem for millions of users from our enterprise partners, as well as improve our proprietary tech enabling gasless transactions for users.”
