Online investment platform Mintos has closed its funding round on Crowdcube at €3.1 million. Mintos notes that this is the second-largest crowdfunding round in Europe for 2024. In two weeks, Mintos said it secured the backing of 3,300 investors, including both existing and new investors. Mintos’ initial target was €1 million, which was achieved in less than one hour.
Martins Sulte, CEO and co-founder of Mintos, said they were pleased with the crowdfunding round’s success, which reflected the strong confidence and support of their investors and the firm’s potential.
Mintos previously raised €6.5 million from 6100 investors in a crowdfunded round in 2020.
Investors from more than 55 countries participated in the crowdfunding campaign, with the highest number coming from Germany, Spain, and France.
Mintos raised new funding at a pre-money valuation of €120 million.
The company reports more than 500,000 users and over €600 million in assets under administration. In 2023, Mintos generated revenue of €11.3 million and a net profit of €727,000.
Mintos offers service in Germany, Spain, Italy, France, and the Netherlands and plans to expand its platform across the entire EU.
Starting as a peer-to-peer lender, Mintos is today a multi-asset platform that mixes traditional and alternative assets for investors.
