Platonic has announced the launch of a decentralized tokenization platform.
According to a company statement, Platonic offers the “tokenization of a wide range of assets.”
Violet Abtahi, founder and CEO of Platonic, said their vision is to provide a fresh take on tokenization and disrupt the sector.
“Regardless of the role in the asset lifecycle, our technology will connect customers and partners, automate workflows, and reach new markets, while maintaining complete confidentiality and control of proprietary information.”
Abtahi is also co-founder of Boba Networks and Enya Labs.
Platonic describes itself as a blockchain ecosystem “fit for institutional management of digital assets.”
Tokenization typically refers to digital securities but a digital asset may also reference alternative holdings which may not be deemed a security.
While digital securities are widely expected to be the future of securities, adoption has been slow due to legacy operations and industry inertia.
