Wormhole brings World ID to Solana as new World ID integrations take off globally.
Interoperability platform Wormhole, a recipient of the Worldcoin Community Grants Wave, has successfully “completed its efforts to bring World ID to Solana, enabling builders on the layer 1 blockchain to join the growing number of developers already integrating World ID into their apps and platforms.”
Previously, while it was technically possible “to use World ID on other chains, only Ethereum developers had easy access to World ID’s uniqueness and humanness verification.”
This development changes that by allowing Solana-based protocols “to authenticate peoples’ World IDs originally verified on Ethereum.”
Developers building on Solana can now more easily “create applications that prioritize real humans, fostering increased trust in the digital world.”
Robinson Burkey, co-founder of the Wormhole Foundation said:
“Bringing World ID to Solana is a big step forward for identity verification. With the integration of World ID and Wormhole Queries, developers can now easily build applications that prioritize real users across chains, improving trust in decentralized ecosystems.”
For increased data protection, the smart contracts are currently “undergoing a robust security audit by the team at Ackee due to be complete in the coming weeks.”
Wormhole’s success in bringing World ID to Solana “comes as new World ID integrations continue to launch globally.”
From social media and news platforms to web3 gaming and online retailers, “a growing number of platforms and organizations are benefiting from World ID’s simple way to verify humanness and uniqueness in a private and secure way.”
Bloomingbit, a digital asset and economic information outlet, has “integrated World ID with its verified humanness authentication to help keep spam bots out of the news.”
DRiP, a Solana creator platform, has integrated World ID “to reward verified humans by allowing them to instantly unlock bonus Droplets.”
DSCVR, a web3 social content platform, has “integrated World ID into their sign in process to make it easier for verified humans to be social and get rewarded.”
Beverage creator Flojo, with its Solana-based loyalty program, has “integrated World ID to give verified humans ordering online a discount on its productivity drink formulated by neuroscientists.”
Galxe, a decentralized super app and web3 onchain distribution platform, has “integrated World ID to add increased security to the Galxe ecosystem and help ensure individuals only complete each quest once.”
Reddio, a parallel zkEVM Layer 2, has “integrated World ID to enhance user authentication and security for their points system.”
Japanese gourmet restaurant app SARAH has “integrated World ID to help curb review manipulation by ensuring comments are coming from unique humans.”
Japan-based Yay!, a SocialFi virtual world, has “integrated World ID to strengthen its anti-bot measures through humanness verification.”
New World ID integrations are taking place all the time.
