Dubai-based Tectum has issued a statement claiming to be the “world’s fastest blockchain.” According to the company the ledger technology has a “theoretical peak” of 3.5 million transactions per second (TPS). Of course, this is not something that is immediately verifiable.
Alexander Guseff, Founder and CEO of Tectum, says his technology is the “next generation” blockchain tech.
“Our blockchain combines record-breaking speed with a secure system, making it easier than ever to create scalable, real-world solutions. By tackling adoption challenges head-on and enabling instant, secure, and zero-fee transactions, Tectum bridges blockchain innovation with practical applications in everyday finance. This isn’t just an evolution – it’s the blueprint for building a scalable, inclusive and accessible digital economy for developers, businesses and individuals alike.”
This month, Tectum expects to release its API and test mode. In February, the company plans to release its Mainnet.
In March, the decentralized consensus mechanism will be activated.
One of the challenges of some popular blockchains is scalability and the need to handle enterprise-level demands. Scaling ledger technology has been a goal for many different entities for years. Combining speed with security, usability, and ubiquity is key to adoption.
