IG (LSEG:IGG), a global trading and investments platform, has selected investment infrastructure provider Upvest to power its stock and ETF trading offering in France, marking the first step in a broader European rollout. This partnership supports IG’s strategy to broaden its product offering through access to Upvest’s Investment API, which provides access to a modular trading infrastructure, enabling differentiated user experience and efficiency.

As noted in the update, Upvest is a tech firm and investment company that offers banks, brokers, and wealth managers modern infrastructure for securities trading via its Investment API.
It offers trading, custody, and back-office services to clients.
This enables FIs to modernise their investments business and grow in a profitable manner. Upvest’s clients reportedly include fintechs like Revolut, N26, bunq, Webull, and Raisin, along with digital banks Openbank and DKB.
Upvest was established back in 2017, has 250 employees, and reportedly processes more than 100 million orders yearly.
The firms continues to be managed by founders Martin Kassing, Dr. Til Rochow, and Tobias Auferoth and claims it is “well capitalised” with the backing of investors like Earlybird and Bessemer Venture Partners.
As reported last month, VisualVest, a wholly owned subsidiary of Union Investment, is reportedly expanding its product offering: with SelectETF end users are now able to trade ETFs independently. The technological foundation is being provided by Berlin-headquartered Upvest, which provides its investment infrastructure via its Investment API.
As explained in the announcement, SelectETF is intended for anyone who wants to build long-term wealth – without needing complex tools. VisualVest says that it currently offers a curated selection of around 200 ETFs which users are able to trade directly via the VisualVest app.
