CoinPayments Re-Enters US Market to Enable Business Growth

CoinPayments, a global enabler of crypto payment processing, has recently announced its re-entry into the US, marking a key milestone in its business growth and reaffirming its position as one of the digital payment solution providers. Established back in 2013, CoinPayments claims that it has processed more than $50 billion in transactions and serves merchants worldwide.

Ali Rafi, CEO at CoinPayments, said that their return to the U.S. is a new chapter for the company.

Rafi has also mentioned that they’re focused on bringing merchants and consumers a “platform that makes accepting, holding and managing digital currencies as simple as any other payment method.”

They further claimed that this move signals their upward trajectory as a business.

Rafi pointed out that they are now scaling their global infrastructure in order to meet demand, and the U.S. is seemingly “a natural next step in that journey.”

CoinPayments’ return comes at a key moment for crypto adoption.

With global crypto users expected to increase and U.S. policy showing openness toward digital assets, the firm says it is positioned to accelerate the adoption of cryptocurrencies as a payment method.

For merchants, the platform offers integration, “competitive” transaction fees and multi-asset support, enabling businesses to accept cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum and stablecoins.

CoinPayments is focusing on growth sectors where crypto adoption is accelerating, including fashion, luxury retail, travel, and e-commerce.

As part of its U.S. expansion efforts, CoinPayments will continue to uphold the standards of compliance, maintaining its ISO 27001 certification as well as commitment to protecting users’ assets and data integrity.

The update comes after the appointment of Ali Rafi as Chief Executive Officer earlier in 2025. Under his guidance, CoinPayments is said to be scaling crypto infrastructure, deepening merchant relationships.

As mentioned in the announcement, CoinPayments is a crypto payment gateway that enables businesses and consumers to send, receive and manage digital currencies.

As noted in the update, the company serves various merchants and claims to support 1 million wallet users globally.

CoinPayments is a partner of Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber, reflecting its ongoing commitment to performance and collaboration in advancing digital payments.
