Embedded Lending Boosts SME Growth in Poland – Report

A report from PragmaGO, a merchant cash advance and online lending platform, claims that embedded lending is boosting SME growth by up to 36% in Poland.

PragmaGO (Pragma Group Organizacji) is a Polish Fintech specializing in providing financing and B2B “Buy Now Pay Later” (BNPL) solutions. Other services include online factoring and loans for small and medium-sized businesses, with a focus on embedded finance services. Their
embedded finance solutions integrated with partners like Allegro Business.

PragmoGo says internal data shows that embedded lending, particularly Merchant Cash Advance, can accelerate SME revenue growth by up to 36%, based on transaction data from nearly 7,000 Polish SMEs.

The report states that Poland is home to 2,879,617 active businesses as of Q2 2025. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) make up 99.8% of the market landscape, with micro-enterprises constituting 95.8%2 of all businesses.

At the same time, most micro and small business owners in Poland tend to rely on consumer credit instead of business financing, with 90% using consumer products, half of which have never taken a business loan, and nearly 60% lacking any business credit line.

This disparity is said to be due to structural barriers including rigid lending parameters, fragmented credit histories, and a lack of products available to smaller firms.

Of note, the report shares that Poland’s Fintech market generated $70.34 billion in revenue in 2023, marking a 32.1% year-on-year growth. Projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) is 18.9%, and the sector is forecasted to reach $345.87 billion by 2032.
