Gemini Predictions, which is part of Gemini Spacestation (NASDAQ:GEMI), has recently announced that it listed several new contracts featuring various key events in the Sports and Politics categories, expanding the number of offerings on their prediction markets platform after they had just launched last week. The move continues Gemini’s push to “create an all-in-super app where users can trade crypto, stake, and buy prediction contracts for real-world events.”
The new contracts offered via the Gemini crypto exchange now include the following:
- Pro Football Awards:
- Most Valuable Player (MVP)
- Offensive Player of the Year
- Offensive Rookie of the Year
- Defensive Rookie of the Year
- Coach of the Year: Best head coach
- Politics:
- Which party will win the House in 2026?
- Which party will win the Senate in 2026?
Gemini Predictions is available “to customers in the US via affiliate Gemini Titan after it received a Designated Contract Market (DCM) license from the U.S. Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) earlier this month.”
Gemini Predictions offers event contracts “that are simple yes or no questions on future events.”
For instance, “Will one bitcoin end this year higher than $200k?” Yes or no. Or, “Will Elon Musk’s X end up paying the full $140 million fine to the European Commission in 2026?” Yes or no.
As noted in a blog post by the digital assets firm, Gemini Predictions leverages the “wisdom of the crowd and the power of markets to more accurately forecast the future.”
They reward market participants for their “truthful insights and also help them to better prepare for the future by aggregating and disseminating correct information.”
The move into this nascent and burgeoning frontier continues Gemini’s march towards “building a one-stop financial super app for customers.”
As covered earlier this month, Gemini Space Station, Inc. nnounced that Gemini Titan, LLC (Titan), an affiliate, reportedly received a Designated Contract Market (DCM) license from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which will enable Gemini to start offering prediction markets to U.S. customers.
As reported last month, Gemini‘s Head of UK, Daniel Slutzkin, has shared key insights with CI. During our conversation, Slutzkin touched on how Gemini (NASDAQ:GEMI) plans to focus on product development for European markets this coming year.
