Open banking firm Salt Edge and Domopay have announced a partnership to support rent pay in Italy.
Domopay is a proptech firm based in Italy and claims to be the first firm in the country to process payments via open banking.
Salt Edge is integrated with over 5000 financial firms in 50+ different countries
Domopay explains that in Italy there is over €50 billion in rental payments each year and currently these are processed via bank transfers or more antiquated transfers.
The new process will allow landlords to receive instant transfers, streamlining the process and eliminating errors on both sides.
Domopay says there are additional product features planned for H2 2026.
Domopay also works with Experian to help landlords obtain a better understanding of renters’ finances.
