Coinbase Tokenized Stocks Lead DeFi Deposit Gains, Adding $5.6M Ahead of Robinhood and Binance

Coinbase (NASDAQ: COIN) issued tokenized equities posted the sharpest weekly rise in deposits into decentralized finance venues among major issuers, according to fresh on-chain tracking from Token Terminal.

Over the past seven days, balances of those Coinbase tokens sitting in DeFi protocols climbed by $5.6 million, outpacing the next two issuers by a wide margin. Robinhood (NASDAQ: HOOD) issued stock tokens ranked second, with DeFi deposits up $1.8 million in the same window.

Binance’s bStocks product followed closely, adding $1.6 million.

The ranking is specifically about net inflows into lending markets, liquidity pools, and other on-chain venues, not about trading volume, market capitalization, or new holder counts.

In that narrower measure, Coinbase’s recent product led the field.

The gap matters because deposits are a different signal from pure turnover.

Volume can spike on a single news day and then fade.

Capital left inside a protocol tends to stay there as collateral, as liquidity, or as the base asset in a yield strategy.

A larger deposit increase suggests users are not only trading the tokens but also putting them to work inside decentralized markets.

On that metric, Coinbase’s issuance led both a large US brokerage’s tokenized-stock program and Binance’s bStocks line for the week.

Tokenized stocks are blockchain representations of exposure to listed equities and related instruments.

Issuers custody or otherwise back the underlying shares and mint tokens that can move on public chains, often around the clock and in smaller sizes than a traditional brokerage lot.

Once those tokens exist on-chain, they can be supplied to automated market makers, posted as collateral, or routed into vaults.

That second step—moving from a wallet into a protocol—is what the weekly deposit figures capture.

Competition among issuers has tightened through 2026.

Robinhood and Binance built large holder bases and substantial transfer activity earlier in the year.

Binance’s bStocks, in particular, scaled quickly after launch and became one of the most actively moved tokenized-equity products on-chain. Robinhood’s tokens have also drawn heavy spot activity on decentralized exchanges.

Against that backdrop, a week in which Coinbase-issued tokens added more DeFi deposits than either of those programs is a notable shift in where incremental capital is landing, even if absolute stock and flow leadership still varies by metric.

The dollar amounts remain modest next to the broader tokenized-asset market and next to mainstream equity volumes.

A $5.6 million weekly increase will not reorder traditional markets.

Inside DeFi, though, early liquidity often concentrates.

The first pools and lending markets to attract sticky deposits tend to set the venues where later strategies are built.

Issuers that consistently win those deposits give their tokens a better chance of being used as productive collateral rather than as instruments that are only bought and sold.

The seven-day snapshot also underlines how fragmented the category still is. No single issuer dominated every flow.

Coinbase led deposit growth, while Robinhood and Binance remained close behind in absolute additions.

Traders and protocol designers watching the sector will want to see whether the Coinbase lead persists over a longer window, or whether it reflects a short burst tied to new pool incentives, a fresh listing, or a one-off allocation.

Weekly rankings move. Sustained share of DeFi deposits would be the stronger evidence that one issuer’s tokens are becoming the default collateral for on-chain equity exposure.

The data point is straightforward. Across issuers, Coinbase-issued tokenized stocks recorded the largest increase in DeFi deposits over the past seven days, up $5.6 million, with Robinhood at $1.8 million and Binance bStocks at $1.6 million.
