zerohash announced the launch of AUTH by zerohash, an onchain authentication and account-linking product. The tool is designed to improve the usability of moving digital assets—including cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and tokenized securities—by allowing transfers between linked accounts without requiring users to copy alphanumeric wallet addresses or select a blockchain network.
As onchain infrastructure expands across asset classes and into mainstream financial products, usability and risk have remained major barriers to broader adoption.
AUTH addresses these issues by restructuring asset movement around authenticated accounts rather than raw wallet addresses.
It targets three core areas: usability, by letting users link self-custody and custodial accounts directly without manual address entry or chain selection; trust, by replacing raw addresses with verified, user-permissioned accounts; and control, by giving partner platforms the flexibility to configure supported transfer types, assets, and accounts according to their own risk preferences.
The service offers more than 600 connections across custodial and self-custodial accounts, representing approximately 250 million users in over 190 countries.
Named connections include Robinhood, Gemini, Coinbase (both exchange and wallet), MetaMask, Phantom, and others. Once an account is linked, AUTH handles authentication and settlement automatically.
The process follows a straightforward flow: the user selects a custodial or self-custodial account to link, authenticates using existing login credentials and multi-factor authentication, authorizes the transfer, and the assets move directly onchain, typically completing near-instantly.
To lead the next phase of development, zerohash appointed Ryan Beaudry as general manager of AUTH.
Beaudry previously served as executive vice president of global product and operations for open finance at Mastercard, where he helped scale the network across nearly 100 million connected accounts and more than 10,000 applications, supporting roughly 15 billion API calls annually.
He stated that onchain rails can scale when users no longer need to focus on the underlying technology, describing usability, trust, and control as the inflection point for mass adoption.
AUTH, he added, removes the sharp edges of onchain transfers and replaces them with experiences people already trust.
Partner feedback included in the announcement highlighted practical benefits. Representatives from platforms such as Crypto.com, Rainbow, Bullish, Public, Exodus, Airtm, tastytrade, and Backpack described how the tool simplifies connections between accounts, reduces the need for repeated address checks and test transactions, and supports seamless movement of stablecoins, crypto, and onchain stocks while preserving user control over self-custody assets.
AUTH is secured by Connect Ltd., a Bermuda corporation and zerohash affiliate; users must agree to Connect’s terms when using the service. zerohash, an onchain infrastructure provider, offers APIs, developer kits, and related tools that enable banks, brokerages, fintechs, and others to embed crypto, stablecoin, and tokenized asset capabilities into products spanning payments, trading, remittances, and more.
The company maintains a regulatory footprint across the EU, Latin America, Bermuda, and the United States, with regulated entities operating in 51 U.S. jurisdictions. By abstracting technical complexity into familiar account-to-account flows, AUTH aims to make onchain asset movement more accessible while preserving platform-level configuration and user authentication controls.
