Reg CF Funding Drops by Almost 20% in July, Reg A by Over 4%

Firms using Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF) raised $23.1 million in the month of July 2026. This is a month-over-month decline of -19.3% from June 2026, which totaled $28.6 million, and a year-over-year decline of -33.5% from July 2025 at $34.8 million.

More optimistically, there were 357 total active monthly Reg CF funding rounds in July 2026, up 7.9% month over month from June 2026 (331) and up 0.8% year over year from July 2025 (354).

The average amount raised for each Reg CF campaign in July 2026 was $64.7k, down 25.2% from the prior month ($86.5k) and 34.1% from the same month last year ($98.2k).

Dealmaker was the most active platform enabling issuers under Reg CF.

The top four platforms supporting Reg CF offerings in July 2026, including Dealmaker, were Wefunder, StartEngine, and, according to Kingscrowd Netcapital, which has been sued by the SEC for allegations of fraud and bogus campaigns.

As for Reg A, the other securities exemption that enables online capital formation that the firm tracks, the decline was less drastic.

In July 2026, there were 26 offerings, up 13% month over month and 4% year over year.

Total raised declined 4.4% in July to $43 million, down 35.2% year over year.

Dealmaker was again the top platform in the sector, enabling over 85% of the capital raised. The top four platforms supporting Reg A in July 2026, including Dealmaker, were StartEngine, Manhattan Street Capital, and Self Managed.

The average amount raised for Reg A campaigns in July 2026 was $1.7 million, down 15.4% from the prior month of $2.0 million and down 37.7% from the same month last year at $2.7 million.

Kingscrowd has earlier reported that combined Reg CF + Reg A+ investment volume in H1 2026 was $365.2 million, down about 28% from H1 2025. While a decline, this is still ahead of H1 2023 and 2024. Reg A+ accounted for most dollars; Reg CF saw a sharper drop in new launches.
