Aegis Trust Plans New Tokenized Money Market Fund

Aegis Trust, a South Dakota–chartered firm that acts as an SEC-qualified custodian for digital assets, has unveiled plans for what it describes as the first tokenized money market fund built around social impact. The announcement, issued from Pierre on September 2, 2026, frames the product as both a cash-management tool and a vehicle for faster humanitarian funding.

The vehicle is being developed with a regulated asset manager under the Tokenization Foundation Money Market Fund banner.

According to the company, putting money-market shares on a blockchain is meant to cut settlement lag, trim operational friction, and make aid flows easier to trace.

Aegis Trust says it is lining up investors and partners to show that yield from conservative cash instruments can be paired with tokenized capital that supports disaster response and relief work.Revenue sharing is a central part of the design.

Aegis Trust says it will give 10 percent of the fund’s gross revenue to humanitarian aid and disaster relief.

Participants would also receive TF Tokenized Coins.

Investors are slated to get a 10 percent TF Coin allocation on the first $10 billion of assets under management.

Nonprofits and aid workers could receive another 10 percent through AI-driven activity as they accumulate coins.

Ten council members, described as Super Validators with governance and reporting rights over the infrastructure, would also receive a 10 percent TF Coin allocation.

Serra Wei, cofounder of Aegis Trust and the Tokenization Foundation, said financial services are moving on-chain and that the firm is working with a global council to build “crisis capital” rails.

In her account, blockchain settlement would let aid move immediately, with a clear audit trail, instead of sitting in slow grant processes burdened by overhead and limited visibility.

The Digital Chamber, a long-standing digital asset trade group, has agreed to join as a founding council member.

Anastasia Dellacio, executive director of the group’s State Network, said the association backs the effort and wants to see the foundation expand investor education alongside charitable giving.

She tied the project to the Chamber’s broader goal of a more open financial system.

Governance at Aegis Trust is also changing.

Banking executive Steve Andrews, who previously served as president and chief executive of five banks, is joining the board to strengthen oversight and risk controls.

He will sit alongside existing directors Lynne Marlor, Dave Timpe, and Todd Bernard.Aegis Trust presents itself as an institutional custodian that uses its South Dakota trust charter to hold digital assets in segregated accounts, with offices in the United States and partners across traditional and crypto finance.

The Tokenization Foundation is positioned as the impact layer of that ecosystem: a structure intended to convert cash-like investment products into faster, more transparent aid.

Whether the fund can attract large-scale assets, operate under money-market rules, and deliver measurable relief remains to be proven.

The announcement is an early product and partnership statement rather than a completed launch with published terms, yields, or a named manager. Still, it sits in a wider 2026 trend of tokenized money-market products, with the distinctive claim that a slice of fund economics and a native token will be directed toward humanitarian use.
