Petcube, the company that keeps people connected with their pets, has returned to crowdfunding giant Kickstarter to raise $200,000 for its new cameras, Petcube Bites and Petcube Play. The startup previously secured $251,225 from 1,758 backers during its first crowdfunding campaign in 2013.
The two interactive cameras that let owners care for their pets remotely all day every day. Petcube Bites is designed to help pet parents care for their pets remotely, treat and reward them. Other features include clear 1080p HD video, 4x digital zoom, night vision, and automatic reorder support with Amazon Dash Replenishment. Petcube Play offers interactive pet cam that promotes play and exercise with an optimized laser toy, and autoplay mode enables regular playtime. Petcube noted both products would come with a trial subscription to Petcube Care, a new video cloud recording service that will provide 10 or 30 days of cloud recorded history, and work with any Petcube device. This service is $30/month, or $300/year.

Petcube Bites MSRP is $249, and Petcube Play is $199. The regular price of the first generation Petcube Camera has been reduced from $199 to $149 during the Kickstarter campaign, which is set to close on September 2nd.
