On Wednesday, Fundrise CEO Ben Miller announced that the platform is launching its next investment opportunity for everyone in the U.S.
Miller stated in an email:
“We’ve already seen tremendous interest, with more than 15,000 people joining the waitlist. Good investments are inherently scarce and sourcing them takes a great deal of effort. However, we remain committed to providing our users with the highest quality opportunities even if it means they sell out quickly.”
Miller also noted that investments are always accepted on a first-come, first served basis. The opportunity is set to go live tomorrow (December 3rd).
This news comes just a couple weeks after Fundrise announced it has filed a Regulation A+ offering for $50 million as part of the world’s first “e-REIT”. Under Reg A+ rules, non-accredited investors will now have access to the real estate offers listed on the platform. The form 1-A filed with the SEC is available for viewing here.
The REIT intends to invest in a diverse portfolio of US commercial real estate properties, such as apartments, shopping centers, and office buildings, that generate cash flow paid out to investors in regular dividends.
