Full Circle Labs, the electronic tool developer behind the Kickstarter success and handheld, heated tool Retouch3D, announced on Thursday the launch of its campaign through equity crowdfunding platform, Invesdor. The company is seeking £200,000 as it prepares to expand its modular platform for handheld heated tools.
According to the company, which was recently named 3D 2.0, its heated tool platform combines an ergonomic design for comfort and precision with a patented variable heat control system for accurate and efficient temperature control. The product’s interchangeable tips were designed for specific 3D retouching tasks and will now be expanded to include soldering and wax modeling tips together with higher and lower temperature ranges.
“Our modular hardware platform and software solution improves exponentially on existing handheld heated tools (e.g. soldering irons, dental technician tools) in the market in both design and function.”
To date, Full Circle has achieved the following:
- Already pre-sold more than 400 units & continue to receive orders every week
- Fully functioning prototype with supply-chain and logistics ready-to-roll
- Founders have won the UK’s highest award for innovation in engineering
Phil Newman, Full Circle Labs’ co-founder, stated:
“We have received huge interest from distributors and resellers across the world looking to sell the Retouch3D, however, as we have developed the platform and engaged with customers we have identified higher volume and higher value markets beyond 3D printing. These opportunities have led us to revisit the crowdfunding community as we look to build the capital needed to support the product and business development required for expansion into these new markets.”
Full Circle is currently offering 20% in equity. The campaign is set to close on July 29th.
