Poland’s Hard Cider Brand Cydrownia Seeks €90,000 on Beesfund

Cydrownia S.A., a Poland-based hard cider company, has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Beesfund. The brand is seeking €90,000 and has decided to sell almost 12% of its shares, for less than €7 per share. Cydrownia is currently valued at €760,000. 

cydrowniaThe company was established in 2013 and claims to be the biggest independent hard cider producer in Poland. It has crafted nearly 300,000 liters of hard cider and is aiming to double that result in 2017. Cydrownia currently has there different brands of hard cider, Cider Inn, Dzik Polski Cydr, and Cydr Grójecki. The company explained that its cider is enjoyed throughout Europe, in the UK, France, Belgium, Spain and in Lithuania.

Sharing details about the latest round, Cydrownia stated:

To intensify the production and nationwide distribution Cydrownia S.A. decided to start an equity crowdfunding action called ‘Akcja Cydr’ on Beesfund platform. For this purpose they issued 13,400 shares with  total value of 402,000 PLN (around 90 560 EUR). Single share costs around 7 EUR. Each shareholder, who buys at least one share, becomes a co-owner of Cydrownia S.A. and participates in the growth of company.”

The company also noted there are a couple of incentives for participating in the funding round, including the Connoisseur Club Card (entitles the shareholders to purchase cider at the factory price) for the purchase of five shares. Those that purchase the minimum of twenty shares will receive coasters and dedicated cider glasses.

Since its launch, the campaign has raised more than €60,000 from 125 investors. It is set to close at the beginning on 2017.
