On Monday, Indiegogo alum Touchjet announced, following the final round of the FCC approval, its WAVE TV tablet system will now be available on Best Buy’s website. The Touchjet WAVE turns any flat screen TV or monitor into a smart touchscreen. This is Touchjet’s second product, following the launch of the Touchjet Pond Projector in May 2015. The WAVE made its debut on Indiegogo in August 2015, meeting its goal of $100,000 within 24 hours.
Touchjet previously stated:
“The WAVE uses bleeding edge infrared technology to track finger movements and taps across the screen. WAVE’s Light Processing Unite Translates these infrared inputs into gestures and taps that the Android system can understand.”
The company noted that the WAVE, which is available to purchase for $299.99, can attach to any flat screen up to 65″ and run any Android app, without the need to connect a laptop, or use of any additional cables. With giant touchscreen devices costing thousands of dollars, the WAVE offers the same functionality for both the business and consumer tech world as a non-obtrusive option. Touchjet also reported that with FCC approval now completed, the WAVE would begin delivering to pre-order customers.
