‘Following the launch its of its latest equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube, Sugru announced more than 1800 target stores in the U.S. now has its new kits. The company revealed in a recent update:
“We’re delighted to share the news that Target has just confirmed that our Hacks for your Home kit has just rolled out across their full store portfolio. Target is one of the USA’s favourite retailers, a destination stocking everything from groceries to affordable fashion to DIY and homewares. Their ‘guest’ has a great crossover with our customers – a savvy, young mum who likes buying great brands at a good price. So we’re thrilled to be able to offer them new products by securing this new listing.”
Sugru then noted that kits are all part of its product range expansion strategy, which will see the company build out its presence and visibility in store as well as be able to educate and attract shoppers to more of its products. The company also reported it just heard that Hobbycraft is planning to launch its new Create & Craft kit in a few weeks. The company now has its products being sold and used in more than 170 countries with patents granted in Europe, the US, China, and India. Sugru reported last fall that 10 million single packs of its moldable glue were sold:
“We’re about to hit a huge milestone – 10 million single packs of Sugru have been used by you, our global community! That’s 10 million things that didn’t go to landfill, 10 million things that were lovingly saved, resurrected, revived, re-invented and made to work better and last longer. Wow. It’s a real movement of everyday creativity, and it’s reaching a scale that deserves some extra celebration.”
Sugru’s other milestones so far are the following:
- Acquiring 5,000 stockist in the UK, Europe, and US (including B&Q and Target)
- Has a community of more than 750,000 fixers and doers who share new projects every day
- Has unique and protected IP – granted patents in Europe, US, China, and India
- Now has a Mexican manufacturing partnership established in order to increase gross margins from 50% to 64% and beyond
Currently seeking £1.5 million on Crowdcube, Sugru has raised nearly half of its funding target thanks to over 1095 investors. The latest round is set to close later this month.
