Serial entrepreneur Kent Oyler focused on crowdfunding

Louisville entrepreneur Kent Oyler says his OPM Services Inc. plans to become an expert in the process of crowdfunding, a new way of raising money for businesses that he thinks has the potential to help many entrepreneurs realize their dreams.

As it is now, start-up companies can raise individual investments only from accredited investors, who federal securities laws define as those with net worth or joint net worth with a spouse of $1 million, or with income of more than $200,000 in each of the two most recent years (or $300,000 joint income with a spouse).
