Australian indie stalwarts Underground Lovers announced on Thursday night, at midnight, that they would be using crowdfunding platform Pledge Music to raise the revenue required to make Weekend, the follow up album to 2011’s Wonderful Things.
The band reached their financial goal over the weekend, with 100 percent of the finance required raised in just days.
“Many of you have supported us for many years, and for that we are eternally grateful,” the band said when announcing plans for funding their 
new album. “As we put the final touches on this labour of love, we ask you to help us bring the album to the masses. We’ve set up this pre-order on PledgeMusic that allows us to tell the story of making the album, and to reveal some of our inner workings and processes in the most direct way possible.
