Filter Crowdfunding World Tour On Indiegogo

Rock band Filter has launched an Indiegogo campaign seeking $40,000 in preparation for their upcoming world tour, and some of the perks offer a pretty cool opportunity for Filter fans around the world.

Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, Filter has been making hard rock music for almost 20 years now. Despite a multi-year hiatus from 2003 to 2007, the band recently released their sixth studio album entitled The Sun Comes Out Tonight. They’re best known for hits like “Take a Picture,” which peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2000.

After laying down an ear recipe that is sure to piss off a few neighbors on our new record “The Sun Comes Out Tonight,” we realized it was necessary that we Tour the World and break a few more strings with all of you. This is something we’ve dreamt about from the very beginning, but to fulfill this dream we are going to need your help. Essentially, the success of this campaign will determine the epicness of the Tour. We want to bring you the very best of Filter. Therefore, every dollar that is raised through this campaign will be going directly towards the tour, allowing us to rock farther and harder than ever before.Richard Patrick, Filter

Perks for the campaign include everything from signed copies of their new record to band-signed drum heads, signed lyric sheets, backstage passes and even the option – for $1,000 – to design a setlist for one of the stops on the tour.

The campaign is a flexibly funded one, so it seems the band is going on a world tour regardless and is using the campaign more as a means to connect with fans and promote the tour.
