Remote-Controlled Flying Car Fully Funded On Kickstarter

b flying car

With a little over a week left in the campaign the “B” flying car is fully funded on Kickstarter, reaching and surpassing an £86,500 goal.

We first reported on the B in May and highlighted the innovative design…

The patent-pending design places four propellers within four oversized wheels, allowing the mini racer to tear across rough terrain. When the terrain gets too rough, just spin up the propellers and fly over it.

A patent is pending for the design that places the propeller in the wheel itself.

Anyone who has ever spent any time in traffic in Los Angeles loves this idea, and the creator doesn’t shy away from the obvious ramifications.

Since the campaign launched the project creator has gone to great lengths to build out the campaign’s Kickstarter page, adding infographics and pictures and detailing exactly where the funds will go, along with other information regarding the product’s design and specifications. It’s a great example of a well-built campaign page.

B is created by Witold Mielniczek, an economics major that made the jump to robotics. He is currently completing a PhD in Computational Engineering at the University of Southampton, UK.
