One Spark Festival Raises $70K, Selected For A&E Project Startup

One Spark Jacksonville FloridaOne Spark, a “five-day festival for creators” with a heavy crowdfunding presence, recently closed a $70,556 crowdfunding campaign on RocketHub in order to supplement their already-impressive funding roster for next year’s event. Sponsors for the 2014 event include the City of Jacksonville, the KYN accelerator, and RocketHub themselves, among many others.

The event will take place in Jacksonville, Florida from April 9-14, 2014.

Interestingly, the campaign page also shares that the One Spark festival has been selected to participate in the A&E Project Startup program, which could be a serious boon to the upcoming event.

one sparkProject Startup did great things for Spira Shoes. The company was able to license and sell Duck Dynasty running shoes, and a bump in interest thanks to a commercial that ran during an airing of the show drove thousands of backers to Spira’s RocketHub campaign. This same type of exposure is now likely to be on the way for One Spark.

PROJECT STARTUP is a partnership between A&E and RocketHub. A&E’s team searches RocketHub’s projects daily and designates those it selects to participate in PROJECT STARTUP, providing them with seed funding, resources and the opportunity to be featured on air. We couldn’t be more excited about what this means for One Spark 2014 and are incredibly grateful for A&E’s sizable contribution to our RocketHub campaign.
